Dennis Lee

Obituary |  Condolences

Dennis Lee Resident of Berkeley Founding member of the Dull Men's Club, Dennis Frank Lee, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010. An Orinda native, Dennis was born on July 28, 1941 to Richard E. and Mabel Margaret (O' Leary) Lee. He almost matriculated with the first graduating class of the new Miramonte High, but he was expelled before it was possible. Throughout is life, however, he stayed close to his Miramonte friends and loved them dearly. At Berkeley High, he met his future and only wife, Jaqueline Pote-Hunt. Their eventful marriage produced two daughters, Susan and Jessica. Like his father and grandfather before him, Dennis was in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed his work, particulary his time in the White Mountains and on Sutro Tower. As an avid photographer, he took innumerable pictures of his jobs. He seemed particularly enamoured of the complex shadows in conduit. Along with his daughters and ex-wife, Dennis is survived by Susan's children Ginger, Jack Lansing, and husband Martin Boswell, Jessica's sons Tom, Ozzie and partner Steve Oliveria. He is also survived by nephew Christopher Lee and wife Danene, nieces Lora and Lisa Lee, as well as Chandel, James, and Brooke Perkins and sister in law, Bernandette Lee. Dennis was heartbroken by the recent death of his little brother Michael Lee and the past death of his older brother Richard 'Dick' Lee, as well as his sister-in-law Barbara K. Lee It is with fondness and love that we remember him. A memorial for Dennis will be in the Parlor of the Northbrae Community Church, 941 The Alameda, Friday, December 17 at 4:00.
