Robert Connolly

BORN 1942
DIED 2018

Bob Connolly

Phoenix - Bob was born on June 9, 1942, he was 76. Bob was a Husband, Father, and Grandpa. He passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. He loved his wife Ileana very much and would tell you about her amazing heart not only for him but for everyone else she came in contact with. I believe this is what kept him seeing the beauty of all life had to offer. He adored his kids and grandkids and would dote on them every opportunity he could. He was so proud of all they had accomplished, as well as what they all were becoming. He had a big heart and was there for the ones he loved always. He was proud of being Irish and as all who knew him knew his love of U of A. He was a Wildcat to the core... As dad would say, "GO Cats"! He served in the church and loved going to functions with his fraternity brothers from SAE. Even though he is gone, his memory will continue to shine bright for all to see. I know God welcomed him into his kingdom with open arms and the first thing my dad said was "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." He is survived by his wife Illeana, his kids, also his grandkids. "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. And the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hands."

I knew Bob beginning in kindegarten.   He was a wonderful person and I am so sorry to hear about his passing!  In high school, he was a great baseball player and I will always remember him in that way.  He was always kind, funny, and cared about people.  Those are gifts.  The last time I saw Bob was in 1964 when he came to my engagement party to Don McMacken but I did communicate with him in later years (email).  You will never be forgotten, Bob!  Sue Tharp Guerra
