I'm so sorry to hear.  I remember Pat well; she was so sweet.  Too many lost classmates.

Patsy Quinn (as I knew her in grade school days) was a very nice person and always had a smile.  I am sorry to hear of her death.  She was a very friendly person; the kind of person others liked to be around!  Sue Guerra

So glad Sue recalled that Pat was also called "Patsy," because I also recalled that was what we called her sometimes. Glad my memory is still working. Pat was truly a lovely, sweet person. But my favorite, indelible memory of her was her amazing Science Fair Project which involved tracking genetic modifications in multiple generations of fruit flies. It blew everybody's socks off and eventually won a prize at the Contra Costa County Science Fair, as it should have. It also stood in stark contrast to my own pathetic endeavor, done at the last minute and which I have tried to forget ever since. Special thanks to Joan Hoyer Salzman for sending us the notification.

So glad that you remember Pat's science project too, Mike. What I especially remember is that many, many of those buzzing little fruit flies escaped and were flying about the room. Also her mom was a scout leader for us when we were at Glorietta. I still have a recipe for raisin sauce for ham that we made with her. And I have a photo of Pat and several others on a ski trip to Dodge Ridge. Mr. Campbell, Miss Van Dam and Miss McPheeters were with us. Do teachers these days spend weekends with their students? We had such a special high school experience!
