Kathryn A. Jones passed away July 24, 2022 in Henderson, NV. She was 80 years old.
Kathy was born on December 17, 1941 in Lansing, MI to Frank and Sylvia Jones. She graduated from Miramonte High School in Orinda, CA in 1959. She got her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Francisco State College in 1964. She was an elementary school teacher with the Vallejo City Unified School District for over 35 years while living in the North Bay Area. She traveled to many countries over the years and loved doting on her cats. Since retiring in 2000, she moved to Henderson, NV and enjoyed the desert lifestyle.
She is survived by her sisters Carole L. Cole of Vicksburg, MI and Karen L. Festersen of Penn Valley, CA, four nieces, two nephews as well as several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her best friend Carolyn H. Goodwin as well as three cats, Poppy, Marley and Jake.

Joan Hoyer (Salzman) (1959)
I will miss her. She was maid-of-honor at my wedding back in 1965, and we have stayed in touch all these years. We exchanged e-mails just the week before her death. At that time her trainer had just come to the house, and she was going out for PT. She said she was trying to stay strong.
Susan Spatz (Simecka) (1959)
I will miss Kathy. We live close together. We would go out to lunch frequently, along with her roommate, Carolyn. It was fun keeping up with each other's lives. Rest in peace, muy friend. Sue Spatz/Simecka
